Surrender means doing what is called upon one to do, moment to
moment, to the best of one’s ability, yet
relinquishing the obsessive need for a specific result and leaving it to
Ishvara’s Order.
Surrender is accepting the reality of the present moment as
an expression of Ishvara’s order, shifting one’s posture from resistance to acceptance
and alignment.
Usually the ego constantly claims ownership: "I did
this," "This is mine," "I failed." Surrender
softens this ownership. It reframes skills, life, and breath itself as Ishvara's gifts rather than personal possessions.
